Foundations & Disciples P.T.M.
Most children and youth departments are run by church volunteers (primarily parents) or young adults fresh out of Bible College. Many children’s and youth programs are mostly child care and social clubs centered around fun for the children, rather than God.
At Disciples House Ministries, no matter the age of your children, you can be assured that they will be lead towards a relationship with God. The future of the church is the young. Our Pastors were youth ministers in the same church for 17 years. This is rare in youth and children’s ministries and as a result we place a high priority on the teaching and training the young.
Our Pastors have learned from years of experience of working with youth and children, that children and youth must experience God for them selves!
Having a personal experience with God is the number one thing that will convince your child that God is real, and not dead. This knowledge is the root and inspiration for our children’s and youth program structure. This drive and desire of our heart moves us to do everything possible to connect children and youth to our Father God, Lord Jesus, and our Helper the Holy Spirit, as well as the Church.
We know that it is important that children and youth experience the power of God through the anointing and presence of God during every part of our services. We also know by experience that children need to hear, experience, and connect with the pastors anointing! As pastors are anointed by God to shepherd the entire flock, from the the youngest to the oldest.
Your children will not go with their needs, unmet in our church. Our pastors are anointed and ordained by God, to connect with and teach children of all ages, as well as adults. Our congregation is very loving and welcoming towards children and youth, as our pastors’ continually work to bridge the gap between the generations.
Currently, as a new plant church we have not yet formally launched our children’s and youth programs. Please do not allow this to deter you from Disciples House. You will be surprised what God can do in your child’s life, when they are in an atmosphere where the anointing of God is present.
Until then your children will mostly be in the main service learning to connect to God in those services. However, we already have children and youth mandates from God; as well as our faculties’ established, supplied and ready to launch. We are prayerfully seeking the Lord for appropriately anointed and ordained staff. Once we are staffed we will fully lunch Foundations and Disciples P.T.M.
Foundations is our children’s program. Foundations is designed and focused on helping parents establish a solid foundation of bible knowledge and principles in their children.
In Foundations, your children will be given every opportunity, to experience God for themselves in the Church, and their personal life. As well as learn to establish their own relationship with God.
The youth program is “Disciples P.T.M.”
Which is all about getting our teens to Press Toward the Mark of living as a Disciple of Christ. Our youth program will build upon the Foundations program by moving your children from learning to applying what they have learned to their everyday life.
If your teen did not grow up in Foundations, they will not be left behind. As it will be important to continue to teach and reinforce foundational principals as your teen learns to Press Toward the Mark of Christ.
