Foundations
Is for Infants to the end of Fifth grade.
Our Foundation program, is set up and designed in such a manner that the children, of these ages interact with each other, when it is appropriate to combine ages. Such as for songs, the story time portion of the lesson, snacks, and so on.
What is taught?
Foundations is just what it sounds like, we teach the basic's of the bible and christian principal's. We use a combination of curriculums and resources that helps grow their knowledge and understanding of the bible. We also use object lessons and crafts to help teach the children. Through our lessons we help the children know how to apply what they learned.
There is more!
In addition, to our lessons; every child is prayed for in every service. Every child is given the opportunity to make request for prayer, for themselves and their family. They learn how to pray for themselves and others. Your child will also learn how much God loves them and is with them. Your child will grow to have their own personal relationship with Jesus Christ! They will also build long last relationships with each other, their teachers and the adults in the church through Foundations.

Disciples P.T.M. is for those entering the 6th grade through the rest of the teen/youth years
P.T.M. stands for Pressing Toward the Mark. "What mark?" you ask; that is simple, the mark is the prize of the high calling of God, on each individual's life. We find this goal in Philippians 3:14

We believe God has called every person to have a personal relationship with Him. In addition, God also has a high calling on every life to fulfill the plan that God as for them. This is the mark that we teach and train all those in P.T.M. to go after.
P.T.M is where our Foundations Children start to put the word they have learned into greater action in their own lives. This is were they develop their personal relationship with God.

Disciples P.T.M. is youth learning to put the Word of God to work in their personal life.
We work to make God real to each individual youth. If a youth only hears about God, they are likely, to honestly not believe in Him. But if a youth actually experiences God for themselves; they are unlikely to reject Him.

We teach the Youth by the preaching of the Word of God, giving real life examples, and demonstrations that God's word is true and works!
We create an atmosphere that allows God, to move in the lives of our youth. We want every youth to know and experience that the life of a Disciple; is not about a religion, it is about having their own personal relationship with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

Many people leave the church upon leaving the youth department, because they do not know how to connect to the adult church. At Disciples House our congregation is involved in making sure every teen is connected to the entire church, not just the youth department.

Our program is set up so that each teen learns how to experience the power of God in the adult services, as well as in youth services.
Our youth hear and see people of all ages and stages of faith walking out their life in Christ.
We challenge every youth to not just hear the Word of God; but to be doers of the Word of God. Being a doer of the word; is living righteously in this life as a follower of Christ. It is being a Disciple!

Our Pastor's were youth ministers for more than seventeen years in the same church. In that time they learned what works and what does not. They know what it takes; to turn children and teens into true unwavering Christians (Disciples).
Each person must experience God for themselves. Each must be taught how to develop their own relationship with God. Each must have a church body that will love them in and through their crazy teen years. They need parents, pastors and a church that will tell them the truth; even when they do not like hearing it. They need these people to hold them to the standard of God.
Some of teens taught by our Pastors' in youth; are now part of the backbone of Disciples House Ministries. Others have lives in other area's of the country and are strong leaders in their communities. And yes, there are some still finding their way; but they know God and have a relationship with HIm.
Our pastors and congregation love each of them and are praying for them all. We all encourage our young people to grow in God, and to be in fellowship with Him, when every possible!
