Pastors' Michael & Robbi Williams
Our Pastors met as teenagers in an Episcopal church in Tampa, FL. Sadly, both left the church shortly after meeting, due to being offended by the hypocrisy of the people in church. Robbi walked away saying "God I do love you, but I want nothing to do with your People!". Michael left his church a short time later.
While dating, Michael joined the US Army in 1987. In 1990, just months after Robbi graduated from Hiwassee Dam High School, the two were married. Just days after their wedding; Michael was on a plane to serve in Desert Shield and Storm. Those years and many that followed were incredibly hard years for Michael and Robbi. They both will tell you; they only survived by the grace and mercy of God, granted to them by those that prayed for them.
In the mist of great personal and family tragedy, Robbi began to call on the God of her childhood, in private. Michael would pray, when he was in private. Neither knew what the other was doing. Thankfully, in January of 2000, God quickly got Robbi's attention in the most unexpected way. Robbi being full of pride and complete brokenness set out to prove; her mother was involved in a cult. Simply, because her mother was talking to her about the miracles of God and the power of the Holy Ghost.
In the very first service she thought she had the proof she needed, but was wrong. Robbi found out they used the same bible she had. The Man standing the pulpit said an incredible thing, that Robbi was not prepared to hear. He said "Read the Bible for yourself. If what I am saying does not agree, with what the Bible says, then throw out what I said.” Robbi took the man at his word. She set out to prove him wrong. What she found was just the opposite. Every word he spoke, sermon after sermon, lined up. The Man standing in the pulpit even gave Robbi tips on how to study the Word of God. As if to say "Here let me help you; prove me wrong.", knowing she would not be able too.
As Robbi's read the book of Matthew; she noticed time and time again, that Jesus himself called those he came to save hypocrites, vipers, and children of their Father the devil. That is when it hit Robbi's heart: how could she turn her back on God's people; if Jesus knowing they were hypocrites, willing went to the cross for them. That was it the battle was over! Robbi gave her life and her service back the God of her childhood. Robbi proceeded to go after God, with everything in her. She studied her bible and prayed for hours every day. She studied every teaching of Kenneth E. Hagin she could get her hands on. Michael watched as his wife set out to prove one thing and found something completely different. It was only a matter of a few months before Michael also turned his life back to God.
As they surrendered their lives to Father God, Lord Jesus Christ, to the Holy Ghost; and to the man in the pulpit as their Pastor; Rev.Thomas (Tommy) Fields, God began to heal and restore their life. Thy both changed from being broken in all areas of life, to becoming unbroken, free, and submitted to God. They went from not caring about church, to needing church.
In 2002, God began to set Michael and Robbi's life on another new path, for both of them. In March, Michael; through much faith filled prayers, got a job with the US Forest Service on the Cherokee Hotshot team. Just a few months later, Michael received a permanent position on the local Tusquittee District as a full-time firefighter. Currently, Michael still is with the US Forest Service; as a Firefighter and a Plans Chief in the Nation's Emergency Response Teams, but is nearing retirement.
In July of the same year, in Tulsa Oklahoma at Kenneth E Hagin's Camp Meeting; Robbi during praise and worship, got caught up in the spirit. While in the spirit Robbi had an encounter with the Lord; He said was calling Michael and her into ministry, youth ministry specifically. Robbi said nothing to anyone about her experience, not even to Michael.
In September of that year God opened the door for them to step into ministry. Michael and Robbi submitted themselves to Rev. Tommy Fields, as their pastor became their mentor in the ministry also. He taught them to glen from the revelations that came before us; especially those of Kenneth E Hagin and Smith Wigglesworth. Pastor Tommy taught Michael and Robbi how to let the Holy Spirit teach them and lead them.
Both Michael and Robbi have severed in EVERY area of ministry, in the church since 2000. They started simply helping before and after fellowship events. Then they started cleaning the church. Their service grew from there; ushering, greeting, nursery, children’s, office, opening and closing the church, van ministry, pastoral aid. If it is or was a job in the church, they have done it!
In addition to Pastor Tommy’s mentoring, their studying and all their volunteer work in the trenches of Ministry. God also supernaturally connected our Pastors to Rev. Bill and Sandra Barbee of Generation Life Youth Camp and Rev. Randall Grier. Our Pastors’ have worked closely with the Barbee’s on Generation Life Youth Camp since 2003. Pastors’ Mike and Robbi are the Activities Director’s for the camp. Rev. Randall Grier is now our Pastors’ spiritual Father; and they serve on Rev. Grier’s road team for his Word & Spirit Meetings.
Our pastors stepped into active teaching ministry in January 2003. They are 100% raised up and trained by the Holy Spirit, with the support and teachings of those ministries listed above. Our Pastors’ teach and lead by the Spirit. They served as the Youth Pastors’/Ministers’ for nearly 17 full years in the same church. Late in 2017, God began to speak to both Michael and Robbi separately, about moving into a new ministry. God even give them the name and the outline for the ministry. God opened the door once again for them to move into a new place. In obedience to God, they planted Disciples House Ministries in Murphy, NC in August of 2019.
Our Pastors are licensed and ordained under Acts Fellowship International. Both Pastors carry in their heart the mandate from Heaven, given to Kenneth E Hagin, "Go teach my people faith and a true move of the Spirit." Our pastors’ heart is to do exactly that and to prepare a people for Christ return. The time we have is very short.
